What Body Sculpting Masters is, who it is for, and what it is not.

Body Sculpting Masters is an independent publication about liposuction and body contouring: what liposuction, tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, BBLs, skin removal and non-surgical fat reduction cost, what insurance and Medicaid do and do not pay for, how to check a surgeon and a surgical facility, and what recovery involves. It began in 2023 as a set of South Carolina city pages and now covers the subject nationally, with South Carolina as its home state.

We are a publication, not a practice. We do not treat anyone, quote for surgery, book consultations, or pass a visitor’s details to a surgeon who does. Where a page names a practice, we say so on the page, and we have not assessed the practice.

The city guides

Seven South Carolina cities, each a guide to body contouring locally: what the procedures cost, how to check a surgeon’s license and board certification, and where the state’s plastic surgeons practice.

  • Charleston

The state’s largest group of plastic surgeons, the academic medical center and what procedures cost.

  • Columbia

Plastic surgery in the capital: costs, the license lookup and the hospital programs.

  • Greenville

Body contouring in the Upstate: costs, surgeons and what to check before a consultation.

  • Mount Pleasant

Surgeons across the harbor from Charleston, prices and the questions to ask.

  • North Charleston

Costs, recovery and the nearest plastic surgeons for North Charleston.

  • Summerville

What a Summerville patient pays, and where the nearest surgeons are.

  • Rock Hill

Rock Hill and York County: costs, and the surgeons nearby in South Carolina.

How the site works

Articles are written for a general reader and edited for plain language. Prices come from the sources that publish them, each one named on the page with the date we read it, and where sources disagree the page says so. Nothing here is medical advice: whether a procedure suits you is a question for a board-certified surgeon who has examined you, and a coverage question needs your plan documents. Where an article links to a company, that link was placed by the company or on its behalf. Corrections are welcome and are made quickly: send a message.

Body contouring in South Carolina

The South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners licenses every physician who practices in the state, and its license lookup is public. Board certification is separate: the American Board of Plastic Surgery runs its own public lookup. The city guides and the guide to checking a surgeon explain both.
